| My homeland, my homeland, my homeland, My love and my heart are for thee. My homeland, my homeland, my homeland, My love and my heart are for thee.
Egypt! O mother of all lands, My hope and my ambition, How can one count The blessings of the Nile for mankind?
My homeland, my homeland, my homeland, My love and my heart are for thee. My homeland, my homeland, my homeland, My love and my heart are for thee.
Egypt! Most precious jewel, Shining on the brow of eternity! O my homeland, be for ever free, Safe from every foe!
My homeland, my homeland, my homeland, My love and my heart are for thee. My homeland, my homeland, my homeland, My love and my heart are for thee.
Egypt! Noble are thy children, Loyal, and guardians of thy soil. In war and peace We give our lives for thy sake.
My homeland, my homeland, my homeland, My love and my heart are for thee. |

belady belady :)
I used to be the main guy behind the flad in school and salute it, since I had the loudest voice.
I miss those days, and I miss singing the national anthem. :(
Zeek:
I just thought the translation was ridiculous. Go out and sing the national anthem in the street then. :)
brought back memories- can't seem to remember the arabic verson so i just used to make it up and pretend I knew what I was singing:
"baladi, baladi, baladi
leeki hobeeeeee wa habaaaabi
baladi, baladi, baladi
la la la la la la wa baaaadi
Misr heya om el donyaaaa
lalala dah dah fil miyaaaa
Biladi biladi biladi
leeki hobeeeeee wa habaaaaabi"
Just love that song...
